Other  activities  

The members of the laboratory are involved in the National Surveys for the detection of quarantine pest free zones for the following species: Tuta absoluta, Rhynchophorus ferrugineus, Eutetranychus orientalis, Anoplophora sinensis, Liriomyza trifoli, Liriomyza huidobrensis, Paysandisia archon καιBemisia tabaci.

Teaching activities include teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Technological Institute of Crete and in Departments of Universities, in subjects related to Insect Pests and Crop Protection as well as supervising final year and MSc dissertations and participation in PhD advisory committees.

Members of the Laboratory of entomology are acting as reviewers for the following peer reviewed journals:  PestManagement Science, Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, Bulletin of Entomological Research, Experimental and Applied Acarology, InsectScience, JournalofPestScience, Crop Protection, Behavioural Ecology, Ecological Entomology.

Dr  E. Roditakis is a subject editor of theJournal of Pest Science, since April2010 (Springer, Impact factor = 1.014)
