Infrastructure

Τhe laboratory has all suitable infrastructure for a) insect rearing: rooms with controlled conditions, plant growth champers, incubators, b) bioassays (Potter Tower), c) morphological identification  and survey of insect populations (stereoscopes and microscopes), d) the study, recording and automatic analysis of insect behavior (olfactometer, suitable video cameras). For the molecular identification, the study of resistance mechanisms at the molecular level and for the genetic diversity there is also basic molecular biology equipment (PCR machine, DNA electrophoresis apparatus, refrigerators and freezers, centrifuges autoclave.
